Stephen Hughes

Stephen Hughes has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry and technology sector. Stephen currently holds the position of Director, Healthcare IT Policy at the American Hospital Association. Prior to this, they worked as the Associate Vice President of Information Technology at Mary Washington Healthcare. Stephen also served as the President and CEO of NXXIO and Vice President, Chief Operating Officer at Spivey & Company, Inc. Additionally, they had roles such as Interim CIO at Nexus Health Systems, VP of Technology at UTC, Director of Technology Operations at West Jefferson Medical Center, Senior Director of Design and Director of Product Manager at The Receivables Exchange. Before these roles, they worked at Vanguard in various capacities such as Business Technology Manager, IT Support Manager, and IT Client Relationship Manager.

Stephen Hughes obtained their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English Language and Literature from Penn State University. Stephen then pursued an MBA in International Business from the Alfred Lerner College of Business & Economics at the University of Delaware. In addition to their degrees, they hold certifications in ITIL v3 Foundations, Associate Business Continuity Planner from DRI International, Agile Scrum Master from EXIN, and ITIL Foundations v4 from PeopleCert.
