Sean Hankinson

Sean Hankinson has extensive experience in the transportation and manufacturing industries. Sean currently serves as the Chief Commercial Officer at American Industrial Transport, Inc. where they are responsible for overseeing the company's commercial operations.

Prior to their current role, Sean worked at The Andersons, Inc. where they held multiple leadership positions. From July 2020 to August 2021, they served as the Vice President & General Manager of the Rail Group, where they managed the overall operations of the division. Before that, they were the Vice President of Fleet Operations for the Rail Group from February 2017 to August 2021.

Beginning their career in 1992, Sean spent a significant portion of their career at FreightCar America, Inc. as the Vice President of Manufacturing Operations. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing the manufacturing processes and operations of the company.

Throughout their career, Sean Hankinson has demonstrated expertise in operations management, commercial strategy, and manufacturing operations.

Sean Hankinson earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering/Mechanical Technology/Technician from the University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown. Sean attended the university from 1988 to 1993. Later, they pursued further education and completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a concentration in Accounting and Finance at Saint Francis University. Sean attended Saint Francis University from 2002 to 2005.
