Abi Jefferys

Abi Jefferys has a diverse work experience. From 2019 to the present, Abi has worked as a Research Associate at the American Institutes for Research. In this role, Abi provides support to various projects related to postsecondary education, with a focus on program implementation and evaluation, underrepresented minority student success, and institutional transformation. This includes tasks such as instrument design, data collection, analysis, literature review development, and proposal development.

Prior to this, Abi worked at Millersville University of Pennsylvania from 2016 to 2019. During this time, Abi held multiple roles including Social Statistics Tutor, Research Fellow, and Lead Office Assistant. As a Social Statistics Tutor, Abi assisted students in understanding and analyzing applied social statistics and SPSS software. As a Research Fellow, Abi collaborated with faculty and fellow undergraduates on research projects, conducting quantitative and qualitative data analysis and synthesis. As a Lead Office Assistant, Abi completed administrative tasks for the department and provided support to students and faculty.

From January 2018 to August 2018, Abi served as an Intern at LOHF - Lancaster Osteopathic Health Foundation. In this role, Abi was involved in grant report analysis, organizing meetings, developing recommendations, and creating materials for LOHF events.

During their time there, they studied Human Rights in Germany, specifically focusing on topics related to Gender, Racism, and Social Justice.
