Alexandria Walton Radford

Alexandria Walton Radford has a strong background in postsecondary education and transition to college. Alexandria is currently the Director of the Center for Applied Research in Postsecondary Education (CARPE) at the American Institutes for Research since February 2019. Prior to this role, they worked at RTI International as the Center Director for Postsecondary Education from July 2017 to January 2019. Alexandria also held the positions of Program Director for Transition to College from September 2013 to June 2017 and Associate Program Director for Postsecondary Education and Transition to College from May 2013 to September 2013 at RTI International.

Before joining RTI International, they worked as an Associate Program Director for Postsecondary Education and Transition to College at MPR Associates Inc. from January 2013 to April 2013. Alexandria also held similar positions at MPR Associates, Inc. from October 2011 to December 2012 and from August 2010 to October 2011. Additionally, they worked as a Senior Research Associate and Research Associate in Postsecondary Education and Transition to College from March 2008 to July 2010 at MPR Associates, Inc.

Alexandria's earlier experience includes working at Princeton University, where they held various roles such as Senior Research Specialist in the Office of Population Research from June 2005 to August 2006, Teaching Assistant in the Department of Sociology from September 2004 to May 2005, Project Manager at the Center for Migration and Development from June 2004 to January 2005, and Research Assistant in the Office of Population Research & Institute for International & Regional Studies from June 2003 to August 2004.

Alexandria Walton Radford earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Foreign Service from Georgetown University in 2002. Alexandria then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Sociology at Princeton University, which they completed in 2006. Continuing their academic journey in the field of Sociology, Alexandria obtained a PhD from Princeton University in 2009.
