Katie Ports has a diverse work experience in the field of public health research and social science. Katie is currently working as a Senior Public Health Researcher at the American Institutes for Research. Prior to this, they founded and worked as a Social Scientist at Health Equity Research (HER) Applied. Katie also held the position of Research Psychologist at the United States Department of Defense Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Office. Before that, they worked as a Behavioral Scientist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, focusing on violence prevention. Katie Ports also has experience as a Research Faculty and Post-Doctoral Fellow at Virginia Commonwealth University, where they conducted studies on various health-related topics, including cancer prevention and reproductive health.
