Brad Geene, MBA has over 20 years of experience in finance and analysis. Brad started their career as a Bank Examiner at The United States Department of Treasury in 1990 and later worked as a Loan Officer at Wells Fargo Bank/Charter Financial, Inc. During their time at Wells Fargo, Brad sourced and closed capital equipment credit lines totaling $20 million.
Brad then transitioned to The NASDAQ StockMarket, Inc. where they served as the Manager of Business Development Research. In this role, they produced analytical research, PowerPoint presentations, and trend analyses to prevent company defections to competing stock exchanges. Brad also responded to information requests from attorneys, investment bankers, and accountants by producing data queries, sorts, and tabular and graphical analyses of trading performance.
In 2001, Brad joined the New York Public Library as the Manager of Budget Analysis & Control. Here, they managed budget analysis and control processes for the organization. Brad then moved on to the University of Chicago as a Senior Financial Analyst where they analyzed and interpreted financial components of the $1.5 billion annual operating budget for multiple academic and administrative units. Brad also guided Vice Presidents through the development of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
In 2008, Brad became the Finance Director for the Museum at the Art Institute of Chicago. In this role, they developed multiple-year operating and capital budget forecasts and analyzed monthly revenue metrics against expectations. Brad also prepared Senior Executive and Board of Trustee presentations.
Brad joined Chamberlain College of Nursing in 2011 as a Financial Analyst. Here, they built advanced forecasting models in Excel to manage, analyze, and improve budget submissions. Brad supported the fast-growing business unit within the DeVry Education Group.
Currently, Brad is the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis at the American Library Association. Brad is responsible for overseeing financial planning and analysis functions within the organization.
Brad Geene earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Rutgers University - Newark in 1989. Brad later completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Management Information Systems from American University from 1992 to 1994.
