Andrea Velasquez

Andrea Velasquez has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Andrea began their career in 2005 as a Producer at the Experimenta Colombia Electronics Arts Festival. From 2007 to 2008, they worked as a Workshop Instructor and Museum Guide at the Museo de Arte Moderno de Bogotá. In 2008, they joined Universidad Piloto de Colombia as a Teacher, specializing in the Technology Lab and Graphic Design Faculty.

In 2009, Andrea joined Planet IFE and held various roles including Editor, Executive Producer, Director of Production, and Director of Creative Services. Andrea was responsible for starting and directing production operations in Mexico, Brazil, Panama, and Colombia, focusing on inflight video and print projects and prioritizing customer service, quality, and cost efficiency. Andrea remained with Planet IFE until 2017.

Since 2017, Andrea has been working at American Meetings, Inc. (AMI). Andrea initially served as the Project Manager for LATAM before assuming the role of Head of Event Technology in August 2020.

Andrea Velasquez completed their Maestra en Bellas Artes degree in Fine/Studio Arts, General at Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano from 2003 to 2007. Later, from 2013 to 2015, they pursued an Especialización en Televisión at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.
