Andrew Megas-Russell

Andrew Megas-Russell serves as the Climbing Instructor Program Manager at the American Mountain Guides Association since January 2019, overseeing the Single Pitch Instructor and Climbing Wall Instructor certification programs, facilitating onboarding for new providers, and managing a range of AMGA commercial use permits. Prior to this role, Andrew was a Senior Field Instructor at NOLS from April 2009 to November 2018, leading extensive backcountry field days and fostering inclusive learning environments. Andrew also contributed as a Special Projects Coordinator, enhancing operational efficiency and supervising field staff. Academically, Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation from Green Mountain College, earned in 2007.
