Harriet Bogdanowicz, MBA, CAE has extensive work experience in various leadership roles in the field of communications and strategy. Harriet currently serves as the Chief Strategy Officer at the American Planning Association, where they focus on facilitating strategic connections and developing integrated solutions for urban planners. Prior to this, they held the position of Chief Communications Officer at the same organization.

Before joining the American Planning Association, Harriet worked as the Assistant Executive Director at the American Association of Endodontists, where they oversaw public and professional outreach, membership recruitment, and major technology investments. Harriet also led a Quality Improvement initiative using Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence.

Additionally, Harriet served as the Sr. Director of Marketing and Communications at ISACA, supporting the organization during a transition toward a unified communications strategy. Harriet reported to Chief Officers on Balanced Scorecard goals and Enterprise Risk Management program implementation.

Earlier in their career, Harriet held the position of Director of Communications at the American Association of Endodontists and worked as the Marketing and Communications Manager at the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC).

Harriet Bogdanowicz, MBA, CAE obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Communications from Loyola University Chicago. Harriet continued their education at DePaul University, where they earned their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Leadership and Change Management. In addition to their formal education, Harriet has obtained several certifications to enhance their professional skills. Harriet holds a CAE (Certified Association Executive) certification from ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership, earned in 2010. Harriet also completed the Elements of AI course from the University of Helsinki in January 2020. More recently, they obtained three certifications from IDEO U: the Foundations in Design Thinking Certificate and the courses "From Ideas to Action: Bring Ideas to Life Through Ideation and Prototyping" and "Insights for Innovation: Fueling Human Centered Design", all completed in December 2020. Their most recent certification is in Whole Brain Living in School Environments (WISE), obtained from the DePaul University Office of Innovative Professional Learning in January 2023.
