Amanda J. Visek, PhD, CMPC, FAASP, is an accomplished professional in the field of sport and exercise psychology with extensive experience in academia and applied practice. Currently serving as Past President and previous President and President-Elect of the Division 47 Society for Sport, Exercise, & Performance Psychology at the American Psychological Association, Amanda also holds the position of Establishing Associate Editor for the Journal for Advancing Sport Psychology in Research. As an Associate Professor at The George Washington University since 2007, Amanda has contributed significantly to the field through teaching and research while previously acting as a Certified Mental Performance Coach for the Washington Spirit and serving as a Visiting Researcher for the Swedish Ice Hockey Association. Amanda's educational credentials include a PhD in Sport & Exercise Psychology, as well as multiple master's degrees and a bachelor's degree from prestigious institutions.
