Deputy Director For Research And Programs at American Research Center in Egypt

Yasmin El Shazly's work experience includes serving as the Deputy Director for Research and Programs at the American Research Center in Egypt since October 2019. Yasmin was previously an Adjunct Assistant Professor at The American University in Cairo from February 2018 to December 2019. Prior to that, they held various roles at the Ministry of Antiquities, including Head of the International Organizations and Cooperation Department from June 2016 to October 2019 and Assistant to the Egyptian Minister of Antiquities for Museum Affairs from February 2015 to June 2016. Yasmin has also worked as the Head of Documentation at The Egyptian Museum in Cairo.

Yasmin El Shazly holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Egyptian Art and Archaeology from The Johns Hopkins University, which was completed in 2008. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in the same field from The Johns Hopkins University in 2003. Yasmin completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Egyptology at The American University in Cairo from 1994 to 1998. In their earlier years, they attended Copenhagen International School, where they obtained an International Baccalaureate in 1994.
