Margarita Mendez

Margarita Mendez is an experienced educational leader with a strong background in primary education and project management. Currently serving as the Lower Elementary School Principal at the American School of Doha since July 2022, Margarita previously held the position of Lower Primary Associate Principal at Hong Kong International School from August 2017 to July 2022. A dedicated educator, Margarita spent a decade at Benjamin Franklin International School in Barcelona, Spain, as an Elementary School Classroom Teacher and Director of the Early Childhood Program from August 2007 to June 2017. Early career experience includes working as a Project Manager with various consultancy agencies in International Cooperation, focusing on education, culture, and local development from June 2000 to May 2007. Margarita holds a Master’s degree in Applied Educational Leadership and Management from UCL Institute of Education, University of London, a degree in Early Childhood Education from the Universitat de Barcelona, and a Licenciatura in Political Science and Government from Universidad de Los Andes.
