Eduardo Akins

Eduardo Akins is an experienced educator specializing in Spanish instruction, currently serving as an Instructor of MYP/DP Spanish at the American School of Warsaw since July 2020. Prior to this role, Akins taught Spanish at the Western Academy of Beijing from August 2015 to July 2020 and at Skagerak International School from May 2014 to July 2015, where instruction included MYP, DP, and preDP courses. Earlier experience includes teaching English at St. Giles International School and virtually through Languagelab.com in Second Life. Additionally, Akins has a diverse background in teaching Spanish, TV Broadcasting, and French at the Burlingame School District from August 2004 to June 2010. Akins holds multiple teaching certifications, including a Trinity Certificate TESOL from Oxford TEFL and Secondary Single Subject Teaching Certificates in Secondary Education and Teaching from both the University of the Pacific and the University of North Texas, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Language and Literature from Hendrix College.
