Joseph Swaress has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Joseph started their career in 2017 as a Server Assistant at The Melting Pot Restaurants. In 2019, they worked as a Medical Documentation Editor at EXPERT PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSOCIATES, LLC. In 2021, they became the Secretary of Learn Club, and later in 2022, they assumed the role of Vice President. In the same year, they also served as a Supplemental Instructor and Tutor at the Center for Learning And Student Success (CLASS). In 2023, they worked as an Emergency Room Scribe at ScribeAmerica. Joseph also held leadership positions at the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB), serving as the Secretary from 2022 to 2023 and the President from 2023 onwards. Joseph will also be a Summer Undergraduate Research Fellow at Florida Atlantic University starting in May 2023.

Additionally, they obtained certifications such as Biosafety Hazardous Waste Handling and Disposal, Bloodborne Pathogen Awareness 2.0, Fire Safety and Prevention, General Training for All Animal Users, Hazard Communication, Hazardous Material Handling and Storage, Hazardous Waste Generator (RCRA), Laboratory Safety, Portable Fire Extinguishers 2.0, and Working Safely with Animals from Skillsoft in August 2022.
