Michael Harhay is an accomplished academic and researcher currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Statistics and Data Science at The Wharton School and as an Honorary Research Fellow at UCL's Institute of Clinical Trials and Methodology. At the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine, Michael holds the position of Assistant Professor of Epidemiology and Medicine, while also directing the Statistical Evaluation at Penn Medicine Nudge Unit and overseeing the Clinical Trials Methods and Outcomes Lab at the PAIR Center, which focuses on randomized trials for seriously ill patients. Additionally, Michael is the Deputy Editor for the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine. Previous experience includes a role as an Epidemiologist and Biostatistician at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine from 2011 to 2019, where Michael developed algorithms for data mining and analysis of large randomized clinical trials. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Informatics from the University of Pennsylvania, an MSc in Statistics from The Wharton School, and a BS in Neuroscience and Philosophy from Muhlenberg College.
