Aida al-Akhdar

Aida Al-Akhdar currently serves as a Legal Rhetoric Deans Fellow at American University Washington College of Law, where responsibilities include teaching Bluebook citation to first-year law students and assisting in courtroom instruction. Additionally, Aida is a Staff Editor for the American University Business Law Review. Previous experience includes a role as a Summer Associate at Morris, Nichols, Arsht & Tunnell LLP, where Aida conducted research and assisted in drafting merger agreements, and as a Domestic Violence Advocate at Compass Center for Women and Families. Aida has also held editorial positions with The Internationalist Undergraduate Journal of Foreign Affairs and participated in various community-focused initiatives, such as serving on the Justice in Action Committee for the Town of Chapel Hill, NC. Aida holds a Doctor of Law degree from American University Washington College of Law and a dual degree in English and Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
