J. Stephen Jones, MD, FACS has a diverse and extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. J. Stephen is currently serving as the President & CEO of Inova Health System since April 2018. Additionally, they hold the same position at the American Urological Association starting from January 2020.

Before that, Dr. Jones worked at the University of Virginia School of Medicine as a Professor, starting in May 2018.

Prior to their current roles, they had an illustrious career at the Cleveland Clinic, where they served as the President from December 2014 to April 2018. Before that, they held various positions such as Vice President Regional Medical Operations, Chief of Regional Surgical Operations, and Chief of Surgical Operations Fairview Hospital. J. Stephen also served as a Urologist, with additional responsibilities as Department Chair from 2007 to 2012 and Institute Vice Chair from 2006 to 2012.

Dr. Jones started their career as a Urologist at Mercy Health in July 1992 and later became the Chairman of the Department of Urological Surgery at Springfield Clinic from 1996 to 2000.

Dr. Jones has made a significant impact in leadership and clinical roles throughout their career, demonstrating their expertise and commitment to the field of medicine.

J. Stephen Jones, MD, FACS received their primary education at Conway High School, completing their high school education in 1978. J. Stephen then attended the University of Arkansas from 1978 to 1982, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology. Following this, they attended the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences from 1982 to 1986, where they obtained their MD in Medicine. Dr. Jones then pursued further specialization by completing a General Surgery Residency Program at Vanderbilt University from 1986 to 1988. J. Stephen continued their training at Vanderbilt University from 1988 to 1992, completing a Urology Residency Program. Later in their career, from 2008 to 2010, they pursued an MBA at the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University, focusing on the field of Business.
