Matt Emerson

Matt Emerson is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in software development and engineering. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Amwell since July 2022, Matt oversees the development and launch of innovative telehealth solutions, significantly enhancing customer engagement with the Converge Platform. Prior professional experiences include roles such as Senior Manager of Software Development at Smartsheet, where Matt executed the Forms Product Roadmap, and Director of Software Development at TiVo, directing engineering initiatives for various innovative software products. Matt has also held key engineering positions at Ab Initio, Microsoft, Nuance Communications, and Fidelity Investments, demonstrating a strong capability in Agile methodologies and cross-functional collaboration. Matt holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BSEE from Northeastern University, accompanied by participation in the Chief Technology Officer Program at Wharton Executive Education.
