Jinger S. Gottschall

Jinger Gottschall serves as the Director of Sports Research at New Balance since September 2023. Prior to this role, Jinger has had a longstanding association with Les Mills International, as well as Les Mills+, holding positions in Research and Education, and Research and Programming since August 2010 and August 2017, respectively. Additional roles include serving as a Science Advisor for the American Council on Exercise since June 2015 and as Director of Sports Science Research at Wahoo Fitness from May 2021 to August 2023. Jinger's academic background includes a tenure as an Associate Professor at Penn State University from August 2007 to July 2019, focusing on physical activity, nutrition interventions, biomechanics, and physiology of running. Jinger also has entrepreneurial experience as the Founder and Co-Owner of FITOLOGY from January 2013 to June 2019 and holds a PhD in Integrative Physiology and a degree in Kinesiology from the University of Colorado Boulder.
