Joel Kushlan Fsa

Joel Kushlan has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Joel has worked as a Director & Actuary at AmeriHealth Caritas since May 2017, where they are responsible for creating and maintaining SQL queries, tables, and views. This includes monthly GAAP reporting, rate adequacy review, and operating projections. Prior to this, Joel worked at Milliman from 2013 to 2017, first as an Associate Actuary and later as an Actuarial Analyst. Their responsibilities included pricing, financial reporting estimating, and large group work. Before their actuarial career, Joel worked as a Food Runner at St Regis Hotel, a Math & Stats Tutor at ARC, Utah State University, and a Contractor at Homes Investors Inc. Joel also volunteered at Mission Buenos Aires, Argentina, South, where they managed and taught other volunteers while sharing religious beliefs.

Joel Kushlan FSA, MAAA attended Utah State University from 2007 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Statistics with an emphasis in actuarial science. Additionally, they obtained certifications in Applied Statistical Methods, Corporate Finance, and Economics from the SOA/CAS in 2012.
