Michele Wu

Michele Wu currently serves as the Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Treasurer at Ameritas, a position held since December 2023, where responsibilities include overseeing accounting, actuarial, and capital management. Prior to this role, Michele was the Chief Financial Officer at Principal Hong Kong from November 2020 to November 2023, and spent nearly a decade at Principal Financial Group from October 2011 to November 2020 as Director of Capital Markets, focusing on corporate development, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic investments in startups. Michele’s career began at PwC, where tenure lasted from August 1998 to October 2011, culminating in the role of Tax Director for Mergers & Acquisitions. Michele holds a Master's degree in Accounting/Tax from the American University - Kogod School of Business and a Bachelor's degree in International Business/Economics from Xiamen University.
