Derek Li

Derek Li, CPA has a diverse work experience in the field of accounting. Derek started their career as an Accounting Intern at Polk and Associates, PLC, where they compiled engagements for real estate clients and maintained fixed asset schedules. Derek then moved on to Surnow Company as a Staff Accountant, where they prepared budgets, conducted variance analysis, and audited leases. Derek then joined UHY LLP, Certified Public Accountants as an Audit Staff Accountant, where they performed various audits, prepared financial statements, and analyzed financial ratios for clients across multiple industries. Derek then transitioned to RSM US LLP as a Senior Assurance Associate, where they gained experience in assurance and worked with clients in diverse sectors. Currently, Derek is working as a Senior Accountant at AmeriTrust Group, Inc.

Derek Li, CPA, holds a Master of Science in Accountancy from Walsh College and a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from Michigan State University. Derek is certified as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) by the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs.
