Anand Kumar Rajasekharan

Anand Kumar Rajasekharan's work experience includes:

- Co-Founder and CEO at Amferia since September 2018. Amferia AB is a Swedish company focused on developing innovative medical devices to address antibiotic resistance. The idea for the company originated during Anand's PhD research at Chalmers University of Technology.

- PhD in Materials Science at Chalmers University of Technology from June 2014 to May 2018. During their doctoral studies, Anand designed synthetic materials with a hierarchical structure similar to that of bone and cartilage. Their research utilized concepts such as molecular self-assembly and 3D printing to mimic the structure and function of natural materials, leading to the development of mechanically strong, lightweight, and sustainable materials.

Anand Kumar Rajasekharan pursued their education with a strong focus on materials science and chemistry. Anand completed their Bachelor of Technology degree in Chemical Engineering from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, graduating in 2012. Following this, they enrolled at Chalmers University of Technology and obtained a Master of Science degree in Materials Chemistry and Nanotechnology in 2014. Anand continued their studies at Chalmers, completing a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Materials Science in 2018. In addition to their academic achievements, Anand also obtained a certification in 3D Bioprinting from Stanford University, facilitated by Chalmers University of Technology, in November 2015.
