Kevin Cook is a seasoned scientific professional with extensive experience in immunology and pharmacokinetics. Currently serving as a Scientific Director at Amgen since June 2015, Kevin has advanced through various roles including Senior Principal Scientist and Principal Scientist, focusing on the interactions between pre-clinical drug candidates and immune cell subsets. Prior to Amgen, Kevin worked as a Post-doctoral Research Associate at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where studies on T and B cell functions were conducted. Kevin also contributed to the American Journal Experts as a Contract PLoS One Subscanner and Contract Editor, analyzing manuscripts and editing scientific papers for publication. Kevin's foundational research began as a Graduate Student at the University of Rochester Medical Center, where a system for studying CD4+ T cell differentiation was developed, and earlier as an Undergraduate Researcher at the University at Buffalo, studying protein interactions relevant to TCR signaling. Kevin holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Rochester and a BS in Biomedical Sciences from the University at Buffalo.
