Atenas Burrola serves as the Deputy Program Director and Managing Attorney at Amica Center for Immigrant Rights since March 2024. Previously, Atenas held several key positions at the American Immigration Council from January 2020 to December 2023, including Manager of Pro Bono Projects & Partnerships, Pro Bono Manager, and Pro Bono Coordinator. In earlier roles, Atenas co-founded fronteraTech, worked as a researcher for Human Rights Watch, and directed immigration programs at the Latin American Coalition. Atenas also served as a Staff Attorney at Legal Services of Southern Piedmont and as a Bar-Certified Law Student at Mills Legal Clinic and the International Human Rights and Conflict Resolution Clinic. Educational qualifications include a JD from Stanford Law School and a B.A., Magna Cum Laude, in Political Science and History from the University of Pennsylvania.
