Aparna Pathmanathan is a PhD student at the University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine since August 2023. Currently serving as a Senior Associate Scientist at Amicus Therapeutics since August 2019, Aparna specializes in in vitro pharmacology. Prior experience includes roles as an Associate Scientist at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, focusing on the progression of myeloid malignancies, and as a Research Associate at the Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center, concentrating on hematology and myeloid malignancies. Additional experience includes a Graduate Student Researcher position at Northwestern University, where Aparna investigated the Tissue Transglutaminase 2 enzyme in pancreatic cancer, as well as serving as a College Outreach Representative for UIC. Aparna holds a Master’s degree in Medical Biotechnology from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford and a B. Tech in Biotechnology from Chennai jobs and careers.
