Debby Blazquez

Debby Blazquez, CPA, CGMA, currently serves as the CFO and VP of Finance at AMIDEAST since May 2018, leading multiple teams in finance, accounting, and administrative services for an international NGO focused on education and development in the MENA region. Prior to this role, Blazquez was the Chief Financial Officer at the National Housing Trust from May 2016 to May 2018, where responsibilities included overseeing finance and operations for organizations dedicated to affordable housing. Blazquez also held the position of Vice President of Finance & Administration at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute from 2011 to 2016, managing finance and administrative functions for a nonprofit aimed at developing Latino leaders. Earlier career experiences include serving as Director of Financial Audit and Internal Controls at Middle East Broadcasting Networks, and as Chief Financial Officer and Director of Finance & Administrative Services at the National Crime Prevention Council. Blazquez earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business between 1977 and 1980.
