Nelida Ayala has a diverse range of work experiences. In 2019, they worked as a Summer Camp Counselor at Tom Sawyer Camps, Inc. From 2022 to 2023, they held multiple positions, including being a Peer Advisor at the Lazarus Center for Career Development, an Asylum Legal Researcher at Church World Service, an Intern at Rutgers Law School's Public Interest & Pro Bono Program, and a Quigley Fellowship at Meridians Journal. Additionally, they served as a Senator and member of the Advocacy for Equity Council at Smith College Student Government Association. Most recently, in 2023, they worked as a Project Supervisor for Amigos de las Americas in Panama, where they mentored and supported volunteers while facilitating program activities and cultural immersion.
Nelida Ayala began their education history in 2015 at Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy, where they obtained their High School Diploma in 2019. Nelida then continued their studies at Smith College from 2019 to 2023, earning a Bachelor's of Arts- B.A. degree in Spanish & Government. In 2022, Nelida briefly attended Universidad de Córdoba, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Spanish. Additionally, in May 2023, they obtained a certification in Mental Health First Aid from Mental Health First Aid Trainings.
