Romain Diaz is the Founder and CEO of Satgana, a Climate Tech VC firm established in June 2020, dedicated to investing in planet-positive startups to address climate and ecological challenges. Since May 2024, Romain has also taken on the role of Investor in various innovative companies, including Estuaire, which aims to reduce the environmental impact of the aviation industry; Sirona Technologies, focused on CO2 removal through Direct Air Capture; and Amini, leveraging AI and satellite data to enhance environmental information in Africa. Additional investments include Fullsoon, which addresses food waste in restaurants; Kubik, Inc., which converts hard-to-recycle plastics into housing solutions; Novek, working to eliminate single-use plastics; Revivo, pioneering a circular economy in East Africa for electronic parts; Arda Biomaterials, producing alternative leather from brewer's waste; and Fermify, a B2B startup revolutionizing vegan cheese production through precision fermentation. Romain holds a Master of Science in Management from emlyon business school and additional qualifications from various prestigious institutions.
