Billy Warden has been in the education sector for over a decade. In 2009, they began their career as a teacher with Teach For America. Two years later, they joined KIPP Chicago as an Assistant Principal and Teacher. In 2015, they were a Fisher Fellow with the KIPP Foundation. In 2016, they were promoted to Head of Schools with KIPP Chicago, where they led the schools for Chicago's top-performing charter management organization. Billy designed the organization's pandemic pivots, which led to student achievement and staff retention rates that significantly outpaced local and national averages. Billy also operationalized leadership and development frameworks for managers, leading to massive staff survey improvements. In 2022, they became the Director of Customer Success at Amira Learning.

Billy Warden attended the Francis W. Parker School, followed by the University of Michigan. Billy then earned a Master of Education - MEd in Educational Administration and Supervision from the University of Houston in 2015-2016. Most recently, they completed a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management in 2019-2021.
