Jatinder Sampathkumar, Ph.D.

Jatinder Sampathkumar, Ph.D. has a diverse work history that spans over several years. Starting in 2012, they worked as an intern at Fowler Westrup (India) Pvt. Limited, gaining exposure to various aspects of the industry. In 2013, they interned at Krithika Industries, where they gained valuable experience in the day-to-day operations of a small-scale industry. Jatinder also interned at Micronova Impex Pvt. Ltd., learning hands-on skills in soldering and circuit board testing.

In 2013, Jatinder joined the Indian Institute of Science as an intern, where they were involved in projects focused on combustion analysis in internal combustion engines. This included the creation of software modules and numerical tools.

Moving forward, Jatinder joined Tata Boeing Aerospace Limited in 2014, starting as a Graduate Engineer Trainee. During their time there, they worked on reducing user acceptance test time and improving wire harnessing and tube installation processes. Jatinder later took on the roles of Production Planning and Control Lead and Manufacturing Engineering Lead, where they focused on process optimization, supplier management, and resolving technical queries.

In 2018, Jatinder worked as a Graduate Design Engineer at PopSockets, where they played a crucial role in designing and developing a novel consumer product from ideation to prototype tooling. Jatinder also refined the design to meet manufacturing requirements and produced a range of prototypes.

Since 2017, Jatinder has been working as a Research Engineer at the University of Colorado Boulder, focusing on digital manufacturing techniques for experimental devices. Jatinder has designed, assembled, and tested a custom cold head and integrated unique features for compatibility with legacy and current devices.

Most recently, Jatinder joined Amogy in 2023 as a Systems Integration Engineer. Overall, Jatinder's work experience showcases their expertise in engineering, research, design, and process optimization.

Jatinder Sampathkumar, Ph.D. has a diverse and extensive education history. Jatinder began their educational journey in 2010 at B. M. S. College of Engineering, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2014. Jatinder then pursued further education at the University of Colorado Boulder, earning a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on product development from 2017 to 2019. Building upon this foundation, they went on to complete a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder from 2019 to 2022.

In addition to their academic degrees, Jatinder has obtained various certifications to enhance their skillset. Jatinder obtained a certification in Laser Safety and Operation from the University of Colorado Boulder in January 2018. In May 2017, they received a certification in Application of Root Cause Corrective Action from Boeing. Jatinder also completed a certification in Process Planning from Harvard Mentor Manager in July 2016. Most recently, in March 2022, they obtained a certification in Hazardous Waste Management and Disposal from the University of Colorado Boulder.
