Shefali Thompson

Shefali Thompson has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Shefali began their career as an Audit Summer Intern at Deloitte New Zealand in 2008 and later worked there as an Analyst from 2010 to 2012. Shefali then joined KPMG Singapore as a Senior Associate in Deal Advisory and worked on various M&A transactions across industries. Shefali progressed to Assistant Manager and eventually became a Manager in Deal Advisory. In 2017, Thompson joined TradeGecko as a Financial Planning and Analysis Manager and later took on the role of Director of Finance. Shefali played a crucial role in TradeGecko's acquisition by Intuit in September 2020 and worked as the Chief of Staff to the CEO. Thompson then joined Intuit as a Business Operations Leader for QuickBooks Commerce in September 2020. In March 2022, they joined AMP as the VP of Finance and Operations, where they focus on scaling eCommerce businesses. Additionally, Thompson serves as a Business School Advisory Board Member at the University of Canterbury from June 2022.

Shefali Thompson obtained a bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance with first-class honors from the University of Canterbury, which they completed from 2006 to 2009. Shefali also became a Chartered Accountant after completing a program from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand in 2013. Shefali'seducation primarily focused on management and financial accounting, corporate finance, and strategy.
