Benjamin Lucero

Benjamin Lucero is a highly accomplished software engineer with experience from a variety of companies. Most recently, they worked at Amperity as a Machine Learning Engineer. Prior to that, they completed a Software Engineer Externship at Microsoft and a Software Engineer Internship at Viasat Inc. Benjamin also worked as a DTN Systems Engineer Intern at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, as a Grutor at Harvey Mudd College, and as a Software Engineer Intern in the Axel Laboratory at Columbia University. At these positions, they tackled a wide range of tasks, which included conducting regression and performance tests for a network system, implementing DeepLabCut in Python to track various body parts of flies, and submitting DeepLabCut training jobs to a cluster to improve overall efficiency. Regardless of the position, Benjamin always demonstrated a strong commitment to quality and innovation, earning him a reputation as a dedicated and talented software engineer.

Benjamin Lucero attended Ashland High School from 2014-2018. Benjamin then pursued a degree in Computer Science at Pitzer College from 2018-2022, with a major in Harvey Mudd.
