Information Security Engineer at Ampion

Wade Lyman has a diverse work experience. From 2013 to 2016, they worked at various companies, including Luka Negotia PhD, College of the Atlantic, Alice Eno Biological Station, and Ampion, Inc. At Luka Negotia PhD, they worked as a Field Biologist, where they surveyed 30 islands to characterize them by plant functional trait composition. At College of the Atlantic, they worked as a Greenhouse Technician and an Energy Student. As a Greenhouse Technician, they were responsible for pest control, fertilization, irrigation and propagation. As an Energy Student, they developed a model for estimating heating requirements for buildings and used it to develop a written plan for implementing low carbon heating systems in Mount Desert Island High School. At Alice Eno Biological Station, they worked as a Station Manager and Researcher, where they helped to research the local seabird species and conducted research for their own senior thesis. Lastly, at Ampion, Inc., they worked as an Information Security Engineer, Associate Product Manager, Performance Monitoring and Asset Management Engineer, and Performance Monitoring and Asset Management Analyst. As an Information Security Engineer, they spearheaded Ampion's efforts to attain ISO 27001 certification and built out their information security systems. As an Associate Product Manager, they managed part of the product with a focus on Data Acquisition and Performance Monitoring, API Integration, and Solar Asset Management features and services. As a Performance Monitoring and Asset Management Engineer, they designed and commissioned data acquisition systems, developed installation manuals, oversaw in-field DAS installation, configured in-field hardware, oversaw REC reporting to various APX systems and independent reporting entities, authored performance monitoring and asset management feature stories, and monitored a multi-megawatt solar portfolio. As a Performance Monitoring and Asset Management Analyst, they assisted the Performance Monitoring Product Manager in developing an integrated software and hardware product for performance monitoring, asset management, and billing for distributed generation projects.

Wade Lyman graduated from the College of the Atlantic in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in Human Ecology, having attended from 2011.
