Julie Zimmerman has worked in various roles in the food industry since 1994. Julie began their career as Vice President Research and Development at General Mills in 1994. In 1999, they became an Entrepreneur and Consultant, founding GelatCo LLC. In 2006, they moved to Target Corporation as Director Food Product Development. In 2010, they joined Kindred Kitchen as a Board Member, contributing to the strategic plan and providing resources/mentoring. In 2012, they became a Technical Advisory Board member for Bush Brothers & Company and Director Craft, Quality & Innovation for Clif Bar & Company. In 2016, they were appointed Vice President Product Development for Ample Foods.
Julie Zimmerman earned a Bachelor's Degree in Food Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, followed by a Master's Degree in Food Science from the University of Minnesota.
