Alexey Pichugin

Alexey Pichugin has extensive work experience in the field of decision science, machine learning, and mathematics. Alexey is currently employed as a Senior Decision Scientist at Amplifi Capital since May 2023. Before that, they worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at MOTIX Connected from November 2022 to May 2023.

Prior to their industry roles, Alexey had a career in academia. Alexey held the position of Senior Lecturer in Mathematics at Brunel University London from May 2019 to October 2022 and worked as a Lecturer from August 2006 to April 2019. Alexey also worked as a Research Fellow at The University of Sheffield from October 2003 to July 2006 and at The University of Manchester from January 2002 to July 2003.

Alexey Pichugin obtained a Diploma of Higher Education in Applied Mathematics from Saratov State University named after N.G.Chernyshevsky from 1993 to 1998. Later, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Theoretical Solid Mechanics from The University of Salford from 1998 to 2001.
