Sebastian Galer

Sebastian Galer has extensive work experience in the field of data science and decision science. Sebastian is currently working as the Head of Decision Science at Amplifi Capital since March 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Data Science at Aioi Nissay Dowa Europe from March 2020 to March 2023. During their time at Aioi Nissay Dowa Europe, they also held the role of Data Science Lead, AI from March 2019 to March 2020, and Data Scientist/Data Analyst from September 2018 to March 2019. Before joining Aioi Nissay Dowa Europe, Sebastian worked as an Associate Tutor at the University of Surrey from September 2015 to August 2020. Sebastian also has experience working at the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) as a Senior Research Scientist from September 2017 to August 2018 and as a Higher Research Scientist from April 2012 to August 2017.

Sebastian Galer pursued their education at the University of Surrey, where they completed their Master's degree in Physics with a specialization in Nuclear Astrophysics from 2005 to 2009. Following their Master's degree, Sebastian went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physics from 2009 to 2012, still at the University of Surrey.
