Megan Porterfield

Megan Porterfield has a diverse work experience. Megan started their career as an External Audit Intern at Deloitte in 2015, where they planned audit procedures, performed client confirmations, and created substantiative analytics. Megan then worked as a Manager at The Wagon Wheel Cafe from 2013 to 2016, where they balanced the books, managed social media presence, and ensured a satisfactory customer experience.

Following this, Megan joined Deloitte again in 2016 as an Audit Assistant, later being promoted to Audit Senior Assistant and then Audit Senior (Experienced Assurance Associate). During their time at Deloitte, they planned and executed financial statement audits for clients in various industries and worked on special audit team projects, including Revenue Recognition Standard 606 Adoption, Initial Public Offering, SOX 404 Implementation & Compliance, and Lease Standard 842 Adoption.

In 2021, Megan joined N5B Capital as a Controller. In this role, they spearheaded the creation of a Dallas based HNW Family Office with capital under management in excess of $2.5B in investments. Megan established and managed an accounting and finance function, prepared and managed budgets, created monthly financial statements, and handled bill payments for existing properties and entities.

Subsequently, Megan worked at Hillwood as a Financial Reporting Manager from 2022 to 2023, before moving on to Amplifi in 2023, where they currently hold the position of Financial Reporting Manager.

Megan Porterfield obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from The University of Kansas between 2012 and 2015. Subsequently, they pursued a Master's Degree in Accounting at the University of Kansas - Graduate School of Business from 2015 to 2016. Prior to their undergraduate studies, Megan attended Saint Teresa's Academy, a College Preparatory School for Young Women, from 2007 to 2011. In 2011, they also briefly attended Southern Methodist University, although the degree and field of study they pursued during that time are unknown.
