Lead Operations Analyst at Amtrak

Peter Roehrich has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Peter started their career as an Intern at the Department of Veterans Affairs in 2003, where they attended Congressional hearings and prepared memoranda. Following this, they worked as a Staff Assistant at George Washington University, where they developed a recycling plan and maintained energy use records. Peter then joined Mathematica Policy Research as a Program Associate, overseeing a Department of Labor document processing system. In 2006, Peter joined Amtrak as an Operations Analyst, analyzing train on-time performance and researching delay trends. Peter later worked at American University as a Biology Grad Student, conducting original bench research and serving as a lab instructor. Peter then joined the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences as a Lab Researcher. In 2012, they worked at IMG-Crown Energy Services as an Energy/QA Analyst, implementing a quality assurance program for power plant surveys and analyzing operations data. Finally, Peter returned to Amtrak in 2013 as a Lead Operations Analyst, supporting the nation-wide passenger rail network. Peter Roehrich earned a HS Diploma from George School in 2001. Peter went on to complete a BBA in Finance at The George Washington University from 2001 to 2005. In 2009, they pursued a Postbaccalaureate Premedical program at American University, specializing in Premed and Nutrition. Peter also obtained an MS in Biology from American University between 2009 and 2011. Peter has additional certifications in Excel/VBA for Creative Problem Solving, Critical Thinking in Global Challenges, and An Introduction to Operations Management.
