Brian Trafis

Brian Trafis has extensive experience in IT audit and risk management. Brian began their career at Fifth Third Bank as an IT Audit Consultant/Co-Op. Brian then moved on to PNC, where they held various roles including IT Auditor, Senior IT Auditor/Assistant Vice President, and Senior IT/Operational Risk Specialist. At PNC, they focused on evaluating risk and controls, designing audit procedures, and identifying opportunities for operational efficiency in areas such as application audits and IT infrastructure. Trafis then joined Third Federal Savings, where they managed the Operational Risk program and directed projects within Risk Management. Following that, they joined The MetroHealth System as a Supervisor of IT Audit, overseeing the internal IT audit function. Most recently, Trafis worked at AmTrust Financial Services, where they held positions such as IT Audit Manager, Senior IT Audit Manager, Director of Internal IT Audit, and AVP and Global Head of IT Audit. Throughout their career, Trafis has demonstrated their expertise in IT auditing and risk management, making him a valuable asset to any organization.

Brian Trafis, CISA, CDPSE, MBA, obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Dayton, where they studied from 2003 to 2007. Brian then pursued their Master of Business Administration degree in Systems Management from Baldwin Wallace University, attending from 2008 to 2010. Prior to their college education, Brian completed their high school education at Saint Ignatius High School from 1999 to 2003.

In terms of certifications, Brian earned the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification from ISACA in March 2017. In May 2007, they obtained the CompTIA Security+ CE certification from CompTIA. Additionally, Brian holds the Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE) certification, certified by ISACA, although the specific month and year of its attainment are not provided.
