Haizan Johari has extensive experience in the financial industry, holding various positions over the years. Haizan began their career as a Management Trainee at Arab Malaysian Merchant Bank in 1992, where they assisted a senior portfolio manager in managing and monitoring accounts. Haizan then moved on to Schroder Research as an Analyst from 1994 to 1997, followed by a role as an Analyst at PhileoAllied Capital from 1997 to 2000.
In 2000, Haizan joined Credit Suisse as an Analyst, where they conducted investment analysis on companies in the telecommunications, automotive, and industrial sectors. Haizan also engaged in marketing campaigns for clients in Singapore, Hong Kong, the UK, and the United States. Haizan then gained policy experience as a Special Officer to the Prime Minister from 2003 to 2006, working on initiatives related to SME development, Malaysia's economic plan, and international organizations.
Haizan's career continued at Khazanah Nasional from 2006 to 2010, where they served as a Senior Vice President in the investments division. Haizan'sresponsibilities included overseeing infrastructure, postal, and property sectors, as well as serving as a director of Iskandar Waterfront Development and Pos Malaysia.
From 2010 to 2016, Haizan worked at UBS as an Executive Director, Country Head, and Head of Malaysia Equities. Haizan was responsible for managing the overall business activities in Malaysia, developing annual business plans, and controlling costs.
Haizan'smost recent position is with Eastspring Investments, where they worked as Director of Institutional Business from 2017 to 2018. Currently, Haizan serves as the Managing Director of Amundi Malaysia, a position they have held since 2018.
Haizan Johari attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa from 1989 to 1992, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree with a field of study in Finance, General.
