Holger Schäfer has extensive experience in the finance industry. Holger began their career in 1993 with a training program at Sal. Oppenheim jr. & Cie. AG & Co. KGaA. Following this, they joined Oppenheim Kapitalanlagegesellschaft mbH in 1995, where they held various positions in client service and client relationship management until 2002. Holger then took on the role of Institutionelle Kundenbetreuung until 2005.
In 2005, Schäfer joined Baring Asset Management as a Relationship Manager for institutional clients. Holger stayed with the company until 2008.
Schäfer then joined BNP Paribas Investment Partners in 2008 as a Director, and later became the Senior Client Relationship Manager in 2009. Holger stayed with the company until 2011.
From 2011, Schäfer has been working at Amundi, initially as Deputy Head of Institutional Sales until 2022. Holger later took on the role of Executive Director of Institutional Sales and is currently the Head of Institutional Sales.
Holger Schäfer's education history begins in 1993 when they attended Bankaus Sal. Oppenheim jr. & Cie. KGAA and obtained a degree in Bankkaufmann. From 1995 to 1997, they attended the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and received a degree in Bankfachwirt with a focus on Bank- und Finanzdienstleistungen. In 1997, they enrolled in the University of Cologne and pursued a degree in BWL, completing it in 2002. In 2006, they briefly attended EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht and acquired a Hedgefonds Advisor (EBS/BAI) qualification. Lastly, in 2011, they completed a course in CIIA, CEFA at DVFA.
