Mehdi Balafrej

Mehdi Balafrej has extensive experience in the finance and asset management industry, currently serving as Global Head of Product & Capital Markets at Amundi ETF, Indexing & Smart Beta since February 2013. In this role, Mehdi leads a team responsible for product innovation, financial engineering, and structuring various investment vehicles. Prior to this, Mehdi held several positions at Credit Agricole CIB and BNP Paribas, focusing on ETF trading, equity derivatives, and risk control. Earlier experience includes a role as RISK Analyst at Societe Generale and a trainee position at the Bank of France. Mehdi holds a Master's degree in Financial Engineering from ISFA, Lyon, and graduated from Ecole centrale de Lyon.
