Michael Curran has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Michael began their career as a Mortgage Advisor at permanent tsb in 1995 before transitioning to the role of Insurance Technician at Progressive Life Insurance Co Ltd in 1996. In 1999, they joined Prudential UK as a Customer Account Manager, where they were responsible for broker liaison, in-house account management, complaint handling, client presentations, and acting as a client ambassador.
In 2001, Michael joined Amundi Pioneer, initially as the Head of Client & Sales Relationship Management & Institutional Client Services. In this role, they managed a team of eight and ensured that client interests were at the heart of the organization's activities. Michael also acted as an ambassador for Pioneer Investments, attending international client events and hosting clients during due diligence activities. From 2016 to 2017, they served as the Client Director, Senior Vice President at Amundi Pioneer.
In 2017, Michael transitioned to Amundi as the Head of Institutional Client Engagement & Due Diligence. In this role, they led and managed the Institutional Client Engagement & Due Diligence Team, overseeing knowledge transfer, client training initiatives, and on-site due diligence activities for platinum and sovereign clients across the globe. Additionally, they served as the SVP & Head of Institutional Business, Amundi Ireland, responsible for all activities related to the institutional and corporate channel in Ireland, including sales, client relationship management, marketing, and general management of the institutional channel.
Michael Curran completed a Professional Diploma in Sales Management from UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School in 2011-2012. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce with Honors (BComm Hons) in Commerce/Marketing from University College Dublin in 1991-1994.
