Despina Yancopoulou

Despina Yancopoulou is the Managing Director of Amyndas Pharmaceuticals, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing advanced complement therapies for inflammatory disorders since 2013. Prior to this role, Despina served as a Technology Transfer Consultant in Biosciences at the Foundation for Research & Technology Hellas (FORTH) - PRAXI Network from 2008 to 2013, where responsibilities included technology portfolio management, research and innovation policy, and technology transfer services. Despina's academic background includes a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Cambridge, where research concentrated on molecular neuroscience related to neurodegenerative disorders between 2000 and 2006, and further education at the University of Bath from 2006 to 2008.
