Andrew Morgenthaler has worked in a variety of roles in the scientific field since 2010. From 2010-2011, they were an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Kounaves lab at Tufts University. From 2011-2014, they were an Associate Scientist at Amyris Inc. From 2014-2020, they were a Graduate Student Researcher in the Copley lab at the University of Colorado Boulder. From 2020-2022, they were a Scientist I and II at Zymergen, where they collaborated with chemists and material scientists to identify bio-reachable molecules with superior material properties, and designed, built, tested, and analyzed high-throughput strain libraries for production of these identified molecules. Andrew is currently a Scientist II at Amyris.
Andrew Morgenthaler obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2020. Andrew also holds a Doctor of Philosophy certification from the same institution, which they obtained in May 2020.
