Thanos Sourlis

Thanos Sourlis has held several positions in the past few years. In 2019, they were an Intern Analyst at Deloitte in the Financial Services Department, where they developed software for Deloitte's clients, assisted in the development of the back-end system for online transactions, and automated the bank's debt relief product using Blue Prism. In 2020, they were a Laboratory Scientist Intern at the Agricultural University of Athens, where they assisted in the development, testing, and programming of a new biosensor for the detection of the SARS-Cov-2 S1 Spike protein antigen. In 2021, they were a Downstream PD Intern at Amyris, where they created simulations using process engineering software, proposed an economic model for the ideal process of the researched molecules, and created a LCA procedure that follows the international standard methodology. Currently, they are a Process Engineer at Amyris.

Thanos Sourlis attended Rice University from 2018 to 2022, where they earned a degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering with a focus on Energy and Sustainability.
