Victoria Hsiao

Senior Scientist at Amyris

Victoria Hsiao has three years of work experience. Victoria began their career in 2010 as a Fulbright Scholar at National Taiwan University, where they worked on an independent project investigating the effect of mechanical forces on primary fibroblasts. In 2011, they joined the California Institute of Technology as a Graduate Student, where they designed and implemented synthetic gene circuits for feedback and signal detection in E. coli, and created deterministic and stochastic mathematical models to understand and predict synthetic circuit behavior. In 2016, they joined Amyris as a Scientist 1, and was promoted to Scientist 2 and Scientist 3 over the course of their tenure.

Victoria Hsiao received their Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering from Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering in 2010, and their Doctor of Philosophy in Bioengineering from Caltech in 2016.
