Fred Waugh

Fred Waugh is the CEO of Anark, and has over 25 years of experience in marketing and product management. Fred has held senior leadership positions at Arena Solutions, Invodo, SailPoint, and Compass Learning (now Edgenuity Inc.), and was responsible for the growth of each company.

At Arena Solutions, Fred was responsible for worldwide corporate marketing, product marketing, demand generation, PR/AR, brand and communications. Fred grew the company from $5M to $60M in annual revenue and led the IPO filing. In February 2021, Arena Solutions was acquired by PTC.

As Vice President Marketing at SailPoint, Fred increased leads by 400% in their first year. Fred also increased website traffic by 200% and grew the product team from 4 to 12 people.

At Compass Learning (now Edgenuity Inc.), Fred oversaw all aspects of marketing and product management, including product strategy, positioning, messaging, go-to-market plans, market research, competitive analysis, pricing, sales enablement, and customer success. Under their leadership, the company grew from 30 employees to over 250.

Fred has also served as a mentor at Techstars, where they helped startups with segment management, market analysis, product planning and partnerships.

Fred Waugh has a MBA in marketing and management information systems from the University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business and a BS in journalism from Boston University.
