Wava Carpenter is a seasoned professional in the fields of design and curatorial practice, currently serving as the Founder of Anava Projects since November 2019. Carpenter holds multiple positions at Design Miami/, including Editor In Chief, Curatorial Director, and Curatorial Advisor. As the Founding Curator and Editor at PAMONO since June 2014, Carpenter has significantly contributed to the company's vision. Previous experience includes serving as Director of Content and Editor in Chief at Pamono, a L'ArcoBaleno Company, and various roles at Design Miami/ from 2006 to 2012, including Acting Director and Associate Director. Additionally, Carpenter has held the position of Creative Partner at AMBRA MEDDA OFFICE LIMITED and worked as a Contemporary Design Curatorial Fellow at Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum. Teaching experience includes serving as an Art & Design Studies Instructor at Parsons School of Design. Wava Carpenter earned a Master's degree in History of Design and Decorative Arts from Parsons School of Design - The New School between 2003 and 2006.
